What is the ClearScore PC app?
ClearScore for PC app is a British financial technology business founded in July 2015, by Justin Basini, Nigel Morris and Dan Cobley. It was the first company in the United Kingdom to provide free credit scores and reports, along with advice to help consumers make better financial decisions. In 2020 it launched a Dark Web Monitoring service called Clear Score Protect. The company operates in the United Kingdom, Australia and South Africa.
In March 2018, Experian announced plans to acquire ClearScore for £275 million ($366 million). The acquisition was abandoned in February 2019 after the UK’s Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) indicated that they considered that the acquisition would reduce competition in the UK market.
ClearScore for PC has won a number of industry awards, including The Queens Award for Innovation, Deloitte Fast 50, Sunday Times Tech Track 100, and was listed on the Sunday Times Best Places To Work in 2020.
How much does it cost?
Clear Score is a free service. Their company is funded from the commission they are paid when their users are referred to a bank or partner and apply for a product.
What ID is required to sign up?
As with any credit report service, Clear Score requires proof of identification to create an account. You’ll need to provide your full name, date of birth, two years of address history and either a driver’s licence, passport, or Medicare number on registration.
How often can you check?
ClearScore PC app updates your credit score every month based on when you registered your account. You can sign in and check your score any time you want. A timeline feature also offers a way to see how your score has developed over time.
What do you get in your credit report?
ClearScore app provides a fairly comprehensive snapshot of your credit report, with all the factors included that you need to know. This includes their calculated Clear Score score, as well as credit account details, payment history, defaults, and bankruptcies. You’ll also be able to see what percentage of credit you’re using currently and any hard and soft searches made against your name.
How to Install the Clear Score app on Windows and Mac
- Install the BlueStacks emulator on your PC.
- Follow the on screen instructions to complete the installation of the emulator on your PC.
- Open the emulator and sign in with your Google ID, if not you will be asked about it later.
- In the PlayStore app search for the ClearScore app.
- Click on the install button, if you did not sign on the first step you will be asked again to log in.
- Now the app will start downloading.
You can also use the ClearScore app on your smartphone as well.
Is ClearScore for PC app correct?
The information on Clear Score and Noddle should be accurate. In fact, we advise you to sign up to both Noddle and Clear Score to check the information they have is correct.
How is ClearScore for Windows app calculated?
Your credit score is calculated based on what’s in your credit report, which is a track record of how you’ve handled credit in the past. If your credit report shows you’ve made late payments, defaulted, or applied for lots of credit in a short space of time, your credit score could be lower.
Can I use it to get the credit score for a business?
Clear Score is solely a personal credit score service. The company does not currently offer any additional service or functionality for businesses.
