TikTok, the hugely popular social media app, found a lot of early traction by giving users a way to create funny lip-synced versions of clips from well-known songs and then share them with friends (its predecessor in the West was even called Musically).
Now at long last, TikTok’s owner, China’s ByteDance, is doubling down on the music connection with the release of its first standalone full music streaming app, starting first in India.
How does it Work?
For the most part, Resso functions just like your other music streaming services but differentiates itself on a few points. The emphasis here is on sharing what you’re listening to, and for doing that, there are quite a few features baked right in.
For example, the share section has pre-prepared lyrics cards that you can directly share with your Instagram Stories. Each song is accompanied by a genre-based, vertical video called Vibe playing in the background — users can manually pick from a selected few options or download new ones from Resso’s online catalog
Resso is not disclosing how many tracks are on the service at launch, but it notes that it has secured licensing deals with Sony Music Entertainment, Warner Music Group, Merlin, and Beggars Group.
The lyrics section appears over most songs, and you can expand it to see the full text or report if something is off, while each song also gets its own comment section.

Premium Plan includes a completely ad-free interface, and it also boosts streaming to 256 kbps as well as includes downloads and the ability to skip tracks and costs ($1.35/month) on Android and ($1.62) on iOS

How to Install the Resso App on Windows and Mac
- You will need to install the BlueStacks emulator on your PC.
