Today in this article I will be going over the world of Pokemon MMO’s including all the games. And the best features you can find within the games.

What are Pokemon MMOs

An MMO is classified as a massively multiplayer online game. These are the Pokémon games that you and your friends have always dreamed about! Being able to play together in a Pokemon game has always been something I wanted. Today in this I will be going over the top Pokemon MMO’s! Each Pokemon MMO I go over today will have many similarities as well as tons of differences between each game.

In each of these games I will be comparing a few things that all the games have in common which include the number of Pokemon available in-game, the Number of explorable regions within each game, the average player base in each game, what each game has to offer when it comes to PVP, and if the game has any story or not. Once I have gone over those three things, I will tell what makes the Pokémon MMO unique compared to the others. The games I have listed are based on what I believe are the top Pokemon MMO’s and you may have a different opinion than me when it comes to which ones are better.

And with all that being said let us go ahead and jump right into the top Pokemon MMO 2021.

Pokemon Rise

Pokemon MMO 2021

Pokemon Rise is one of the newer Pokemon games on this list but has some of the most unique features when it comes to Pokemon MMO’s. I know I said I would talk about the main four features before diving into any specifics to what separates this game from others but this game is played so differently compared to the other Pokemon games on this list.

This Pokemon game doesn’t follow your traditional Pokemon battle style, it is a real-time Pokemon MMO with your Pokemon out about running by your side. You don’t actually select your moves like you would in a regular Pokemon game, in this one your Pokemon will attack all wild Pokemon nearby.

Be careful when exploring without a Pokemon by your side or else you may be attacked. Now that you have an idea of how this Pokemon MMO is actually played, it’s time we talked about the important features of this Pokemon game.

Starting off this Pokemon game has over 700 unique Pokemon for you to catch and use on your Pokemon adventure. This Pokemon ranges from generation one all the way to generation seven. You will find no shortage of Pokemon in this game to explore the massive areas of Pokemon

This game doesn’t follow the standard regional design of your original Pokemon games. Pokemon Rise offers 100×100 generated world with over 25 towns to explore! You may even find some secret areas with some extremely rare Pokemon!

As far as PVP goes in Pokemon Rise there isn’t much to it. This is one of the areas the game lacks the most. So if you’re looking for something competitive this might not be the game for you. In order to battle other trainers you need to be in a building called the battle hall and you call out your Pokemon and just let them hit each other until one dies.

Pokémon Planet

It’s easy to get started in Pokémon Planet. You only need an email account and you’re good to go. Pokémon Planet is a browser-based game, so players don’t have to download anything to access it.

Since Pokémon Planet is browser-based, the game is easy to operate and players with low-budget computers can run it. One downside, however, is the basic graphics, so don’t expect much from the battles.

Pokémon Planet has a solid player base and active community, which is probably one of the most important aspects of the game. It has an auction house that players can access through the shops. If there’s a Pokémon in particular that you want, hit the auction house.

Players can purchase custom items for their characters using credits that can be bought for as little as $2. Those who are looking for a truly free experience can earn rewards by playing.

Pokémon MMO 3D

Top Pokemon MMO

Pokémon MMO 3D is the only exclusively 3D game on this list. The game takes place in the Kanto region and allows the players to explore the Pokémon world in 3D.

The developers focused their efforts on the animation of Pokémon and the battles. Pokémon MMO 3D offers the most “realistic” battle experience because players must aim the abilities at the targets.

In general, world design is basic, but that doesn’t mean players shouldn’t take the opportunity to explore it. The only way to earn money is by battling wild Pokémon and finding them requires some walking around.

Pokémon MMO 3D isn’t easy to run like other games on this list. It’ll run with an Intel Pentium Dual-Core processor, but the developer recommends at least an Intel Core i5 processor. The game requires a 64-bit OS and at least 4GB RAM. The game is available for PC, Mac, and Linux.

PokeMMO

The title PokéMMO is the arguably biggest game on this list, both in terms of size and audience. The game is so large and well-established, it has its own wiki. PokéMMO includes four Pokémon regions – Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova – and Pokémon from generations one through five. Players can build bases, enjoy tons of character customization, and wander about during changing seasons. The graphics are beautiful as well.

The only downside to PokéMMO is that it requires a ROM of Pokémon Black or White to run, with additional ROMs required for optional content.

PokeXGames

PokeXGames is another very different Pokemon game on this list when it comes to how it is played. This Pokemon MMORPG plays like an older game called the tibia. This has a sort of top-down view and your Pokemon will automatically attack for you in battle.

Using hotkeys that are mapped to certain keys on your keyboard, you and your Pokemon must travel through the region of the game growing stronger together and forming the ultimate party of Pokemon.

This Pokemon game has quite a few Pokemon for you to obtain with it having most but not all Pokemon through generation 5 and even a few Pokemon in later generations. The player base is hard to tell but from what I have seen this game is likely to have as many as 1,000 players log in and out throughout the day. The servers are always busy and full of players anytime I have been online. This game also has somewhat of a huge south American audience with a majority of the players speaking Spanish and Portuguese!

When it comes to the PVP in this game, there are weekly tournaments that you can sign up for. The tournaments for this game are held on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Each day is a different type of tournament each with different rewards as well.

Pokemon Mystery universe

Have you ever played Pokemon mystery dungeons and thought “man it sure would be great to have an online multiplayer version of this. Well, Pokemon Mystery Universe is that game you have been looking for.

This game follows true to the traditional Pokemon Mystery Dungeon gameplay only adding improvements from the original game.

This is one of the older games on this list so it has been around for a while and the developers have kept updating the games over the years. Starting in 2008 the creators of this game wanted a Pokemon game where you yourself could be the Pokémon just like in the official Pokemon mystery dungeon games, they have done just that and have created an amazing place for people all over the world to live out their dreams in becoming a Pokemon and creating their very own rescue team.

This Pokemon game is fairly active with anywhere from 150 to 200 players online a day. To keep the players active and interested in the game they will often host events throughout the weekends for players to participate in. Some of these events may include dodge ball or even hide and seek. There are so many unique features and events hosted by the g

e devs that it’s hard to keep up with how many there are! When it comes to PVP you are able to fight other players in the arena but it’s not one of the main focuses of the game. So if you’re looking for some PVP action this may not be the game for you.

If you aren’t into PVP though then let’s move on to some of the other features this game has to offer. In this Pokemon Game, you will be able to recruit and play nearly 700 different Pokemon ranging from generation 1 all the way to generation 7. The developers are also hinting at adding generation 8 Pokemon sometime in the near future.

Recruiting each Pokemon to join your rescue team is going to take quite a long time soI suggest you head over to your Pokemon rescue team base for a break every now and then. In your Pokemon Rescue team base, you have access to nearly all texture tiles in the game so you can truly make your own base however you want to.

This isn’t the only Pokemon game on this list where you can design your own base but this game does give you the most freedom when it comes to making your base feel like a truly unique creation!

Pokemon Blaze online

top 10 Pokemon MMO

Pokémon Blaze Online is unique in that it is an almost entirely new Pokémon experience. This MMO is ideal for people who want to get away from the cookie-cutter Pokémon experience. While Blaze has all of the same Pokémon, including some added Pokémon Sun and Moon, it offers a whole new unique region for players to explore. This region features new rivals, new gyms, new stories, and more. The game has a thriving community and a unique stat system.

PokeOne

PokéOne is developed by the original creator of PRO. One features the Kanto, Johto, and recently released the Unova region for players to explore and play. One has features like PVP Ladder and Battle Frontier, but what makes it really unique is that it includes all of the Gen VII Pokémon.

One allows players to change the graphics options by allowing players to use traditional 2D graphics like in the original games or 3D graphics were seen in more recent entries to the franchise.

We play a lot like PRO due to having the same developers but have a lot of potential for change and growth. It is constantly updated and has an active fan base that is always looking to promote and improve it.
