Download the Viz Manga app on your PC. The VIZ Manga app, which includes the entire VIZ digital catalog, is your official and trusted source to read the world’s most popular manga and comics straight from Japan.
What is the Viz Manga PC app?
Have you ever found it hard to keep up with your favorite manga? Sometimes with life, you just can’t tear yourself away from that project you’re working on whether it be cosplay or your boring daytime job. Viz may have just found the solution to all our problems and is now providing free manga on their Viz Manga for PC app!
The app allows you to keep up with your favorite manga from Viz. The app also provides sample chapters for many of their titles so the curious can try before they buy. If you are all caught up then this app is an easy way to stay caught up for free.
There is also a subscription model that is $1.99 and grants access to download and read up to 100 chapters everyday from a digital vault of over 10,000+ manga chapters. If you aren’t sure you will use the service you can sign up for a seven day trial and cancel before hand, but I think most people who sign up will be using this very frequently. For free users you can download the newest chapters that are available for a 7 day period.
What does it offer?
Like the settings, everything else about the Viz Manga for Windows app is pretty standard. The Navigation is pretty simple, with very few options. It allows you to choose either between manga, and weekly jump from the main screen or you can choose the all manga option on the top right section of the app screen.
These options allow for you to find and purchase manga for your reading pleasures, but if you’re looking for something specific then you’re pretty much out of luck with this. There are no search or genre options to be found here, so if you want a specific series you will have to scroll through the entire listing.
After you’ve purchased yourself something to read you’ll want to tap the M icon next to all series to download and read it. It took me some time to get accustomed to this because pretty much every other manga app that I’ve used up to this point has the downloads or library option clearly outlined, or some option to make it the start-up screen for the app.
With the VIZ manga for PC app lacking any kind of proper settings menu there is no way for you to set it, though I will say that after a while using the app I did get accustomed to hitting the “M” icon as soon as it started up.
Is it any good?
With hundreds of well-translated, high-quality manga to choose from, great prices, and that sweet preview feature VIZ manga is a good manga app that you should consider if you want to support the publishers of the manga that you read regularly. It is nowhere close to being the best manga app I have used to date, due to its lack of customization settings and no search feature, but I do think it has the capability to become one of the best if the missing features I mentioned before are added.
How to Install the VIZ Manga app on Windows and Mac
- You will need to install an Android emulator on your PC, I will recommend the BlueStacks emulator.
- Install the Android emulator of your choice, and after the installation is complete open the emulator.
- Look for the PlayStore app on the home screen.
- Search for the Viz Manga app and click on the install button.
- You will need to log in using your Google ID to start the download process.
You can use the Viz Manga app in your smartphone as well.
Is Viz Manga for PC app subscription worth it?
It’s so cheap, of course, it’s worth it. Even if you read just one series with 40 chapters per year, one chapter price comes down to 0.63$. If you are so low on money that you can’t spend 25$ a year (that is 2$ per month), you shouldn’t even think about it.
What do you get with a viz subscription?
The VIZ Manga for Windows app offers free preview chapters for select series and contains over 4000 manga volumes. The subscription plan lets you read up to 100 chapters per day for just $1.99 per month. Check out the Shonen Jump App to read the latest chapters of popular Shonen Jump titles the same day they come out in Japan.
